Beavers at Sioux Passage
We went on a very chilly hike today to a park by the Missouri River, Sioux Passage.
It felt great to be outside…
…but we became truely excited when we saw signs of beavers!
βFinding trees that have been chewed on by a beaver left us awestruck! Seeing the teeth marks and the wood shavings is a life experience ππππ!
If you live in Saint Louis, I recommend you going to this park! Drive all the way back to the river near the boat drop and look to the left… it’s worth the trip!

Wow! Those are some big trees that those beaver are chewing on. Did you see their dam anywhere? It must be humongous. It looks like a wonderful park to explore.

We looked for a dam, but didn’t see it… I want to go back for a follow up in a week to see if the trees are moved!

That would be interesting. Those really were huge trees for beavers.

Yeah. That’s crazy! I know this is going to sound terribly ignorant, but I’ve never seen this before, except in a cartoon lol

We had never seen anything like it before either! LOL! It was like a nature documentary show before our eyes!
