About
Becoming a Wild Family…
Hello, my name is Amie (Ah-Me…It’s French for Friend).
What are my goals for becoming a wild family?
- To have a love and respect for nature
- To learn as much about nature and the WILD world around us as we can
- To use the Wild and the Saint Louis community to learn and educate ourselves aboutΒ the past, present, and future
- To facilitate the ideas ofΒ unschoolingΒ so that my children not only have a love of learning but that they learn how to learn without rote memorization and worksheets
- To build a family relationship that is strong, loving, and happy
Hello Amie! First, I wanna thank you for following me through my posts.
I really like your approach in parenting and the way that you let your kids grew wildly into nature. I think that’s one of the best parts of childhood.
Thank you for the positive charm you leave on my posts and I wish that I could do the same for you.
I learned that you love nature as much as I do so let me nominate you for a 7-Days Nature Photo challenge. Its very simple. You just need to post nature photo a day .
Here is the link of my challenge for you : https://justbluedutch.wordpress.com/2016/03/22/hortus-botanicus-an-urban-jungle/
Even without this challenge, I wnat you to know that someone believes in the powerful love you are feeding your children. You are a great Mom & I want to thank you for the inspiration you give to a new Mom like me.
Cheers & hope you enjoy this one!

I’ve loved reading about your family’s adventures. I’m quite envious that the weather has been nice enough for you to all be outside. Spring is slow arriving here in Michigan this year!

I apologize for taking so long to respond, but thank you for liking my post “Reminders” on Hill Love. You have a beautiful site! I LOVE the pictures of nature and seeing your family enjoy the simple wonderful things. My children were enjoying looking at the pictures as well. There’s nothing like the outdoors. We need to do more exploring ourselves. Thanks for the inspiration.

Nice to meet you, Amie! I’m homeschooled, and it always makes me happy to see other homechool families who aren’t just getting by, but thriving! π I started homeschool in tenth grade (sixth grade for my younger brother), and honestly, it’s one of the best decisions my family and I have ever made together!
I wish you and your family the very best in this awesome journey! π

Hello Aime, I love your families love for nature. We also unschool our children. Our family does the whole farming and 4h thing. So we too experience animals and nature through hands on. Thanks for sharing all the cool photos of your nature walk.
