Fusion Fun: reusing plastics bags

Simone and I went to the library for a Mommy/daughter date this evening!

We took a class called Fusion Fun- it involved melting used plastic bags together to create a new reusable bag!

The organizer had saved a bunch of used plastic bags and even some party tableclothes.

We cut out different pictures that we liked and arranged them on a double layered squared.

Then they were melted together with a low heat iron (with a silicone mat to prevent the plastic from sticking to the iron).

Duct tape holds the bottom and sides together. A couple hole punches and string create a snazzy handle!

Simone finished her bag just in time to go to her brother’s late night baseball game!

I even got to make a bag! 😊

The boys are super jealous!! They can hardly wait to make their own bag… now to start collecting used plastic bags!!

  1. How cool! I like both bags. Isn’t duct tape amazing. And the colors today are wonderful. πŸ™‚
