Oh my dear WILD, how I’ve missed you!!! πΈπ³β€οΈ
Wow! It’s been many weeks since I’ve been able to take the kids into the WILD… to truly immerse ourselves into nature!
I’ve mentioned before that between the St. Louis heat and the Barracuda Swim Team – we haven’t ventured much into the beloved WILD.
This weekend was Swim Prelims and Finals… On the hottest days yet (110 heat index!!). Β The kids swam like fish and I’ll be blogging about their awards after our Swim Banquet!
After our exhausting weekend we all slept in until 9:00 today! We awoke to weather that was absolutely perfect… Overcast and 77 degrees!! πππ
Today we went on a nature hike!!! π

I cannot even begin to tell you how great the air smelled and how sweet the birds sounded!!! π
Eli was ecstatic over a yellow butterfly!
Simone found hatched reptile eggs- the shell was soft and rubbery and they guessed it was a snake egg!
I look forward to becoming a wild family and spending our time outdoors again!β€οΈππΈπ³β€οΈπ³πΈππ

Wow this would be a perfect little adventure for boys. We love the outdoors and if we found a reptile egg it would be a dream come true to them!
Looks like you all had a great adventure.

When I see a yellow butterfly I feel like I’ve been given a hug from God.
