The things we do for our children…
Like giving a child your amazing sewing space so they can have their own room… Which is exactly what I did for Eli!
* I apologize that this is not about the wild or nature- just about my ever changing family 😊
My fabulous sewing corner under the stairs!
The space directly under the stairs was filled to the brim with material: and everything was hap-hazardously put in my bedroom by my children! 😳
There is a heat advisory today- so it seems like I’ll be staying in the cool a/c sorting through my sewing stuff, finding it all a new home…
Eli’s new room…
A play/nap room
I’m laughing right now because Eli doesn’t take naps (even though he should!) but he totally wants to sleep in there (like Harry Potter) but he has a perfectly good bed (in a perfectly good upstairs room) that he can sleep in!
His office/school room
Elijah likes to make things so I’ll be filling the jars with “stuff” so he can make creations!
I urge anyone with children to check out DIY.org! It’s a great website for kids where they can complete challenges in different skill groups to earn virtual badges! My kids LOVE it!!!
Simone even added Christmas lights for better lighting!
…time for me to go figure out where my new sewing corner should be 😊🌸

Thanks! He’s over the moon for his new room! And I’m actually enjoying sorting my sewing stuff to fit it all into a small closet!

That’s so cool! Much better than Harry Potter – no spiders. Isn’t it awesome that it takes so little to make a kid happy? Kudos mom for giving up your space!

Thank you! That space definitely means more to him as his room then it did to me as my sewing room… Which says a lot about how much he appreciates it! Thankfully there haven’t been any spider sightings LOL!

It’s so funny that you mentioned Harry Potter because that’s totally what I was thinking! Very cute sleeping space, although I’m sorry you lost your sewing area. 😒
